First and foremost, I’m a husband and father. My wife and our two kids—a competitive soccer-playing son and a daughter who lights up the world with dance and song—are my greatest motivation, driving my passion for technology, problem-solving, and constant innovation.
I grew up surrounded by sports and technology. Whether on the sidelines of a soccer field or helping my dad build our first Texas Instruments computer, I was always drawn to competition and creativity. My mom nurtured my curiosity from an early age, encouraging me to think critically and explore new ideas—an influence that continues to shape how I approach problem-solving today. I watched technology evolve from US Robotics dial-up modems to fiber internet, and my fascination with it never faded. At the same time, my lifelong connection to sports, particularly soccer, deepened my appreciation for strategy, teamwork, and performance—ultimately leading me to a career where both passions intersected.
For over a decade, I’ve led The University of Alabama Athletics Department’s technology initiatives and now serve as Associate Athletics Director and Chief Technology Officer. I’ve implemented solutions that enhance business operations and fan experiences, ensuring Alabama Athletics remains at the forefront of sports and entertainment technology. From designing infrastructure for major facility renovations to solving complex challenges with scalable solutions, my work helps push the department forward.
Beyond collegiate athletics, I’ve always had an entrepreneurial mindset. In 2016, I founded SpotMine, Inc., later partnering with a local sports group to launch Clutch! LLC. What began as a local initiative quickly grew into a national presence, built on a foundation of innovation and adaptability.
Outside of my professional work, I stay deeply engaged in technology through my hobbies. I’m an active developer for Enemy Territory Legacy (etlegacy.com), contributing to stats engines, competition automation, and global server configurations. I manage a worldwide gaming community, hosting 14 dedicated game servers across Atlanta, New York, Los Angeles, São Paulo, Sydney, Frankfurt, London, and Amsterdam, including 2 public and 12 competition servers. My contributions include Lua scripting, client fixes, and building server infrastructure for events like the 20th Anniversary LAN.
Family, technology, sports, and gaming have been lifelong passions, and I’m always looking for ways to build, refine, and innovate. Feel free to connect with me through any of the portals below to discuss collaboration opportunities, technology trends, or just to say hello. Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to read a little about me!
